Hola Amigos,

¿Cómo está usted?

Well that’s it, the Spanish I know. I am still at the basic level of learning. Hope to improve someday soon. But, language has nothing to do with this post. Neither is it about my personal relationship (usually that’s where the word is commonly used). It’s about life as we know it, about how we see the world. Perceptions and all…

It’s complicated, or has been complicated.

How so, you might ask.  Just ask the question -WHO ARE WE? And you shall see it unravel.

Our world is as complicated as the answers we may have to that simple question. Often made complex by our rooted beliefs about our ethnicity, our race, religious strongholds, and the pseudo patriotism within us that makes us dislike certain groups and affectionate towards others.

Here’s a simple answer.

This isn’t just a commercial for promoting travel. Clearly it sends a really strong message to all of us. A simple way to look at the really complex world around us.  As a world filled with genetically related people, rather than extremists and hate groups. A world where the biggest relation is that of Humanity.

Aren’t we all Homo sapiens?

As Wikipedia puts it, “On average, in terms of DNA sequence all humans are 99.5% similar to any other humans [2][3].”

However, from the looks of it the world is growing more complicated with each day. The meaningless wars, the tug of war for power, oil, wealth and all that at the cost of sufferings of tens and millions of innocents. The craziest part is that no one, no one who really has a say in this matter is sane enough to see what is happening around them, what the world is turning into.

If we were to ponder a bit more, it’s quite evident- this didn’t start today. This has been the way for centuries. Man, (humans in general) has always craved power and creating a divide amongst the population was the only way that one man or a group of power hungry people could take over. So, they started sowing the seeds, divided people in the name of God and then colour, then moved on to division based on geographies, races, sects, cults, and what not.

The world that only had two that differed- Male and Female to be exact has now become an eerie place to live on, with too many differences. An example of how complex humans can be and the complexities they tend to create. It’s time we simplified things, made way for a better and UNCOMPLICATED world.

We sure can’t throw away all that we have learned and believed in for years, but there is something that each one of us can do- open up our minds, stop viewing the world with those narrow belief-crusted lenses, see others as people just like you and me rather than judging them on the basis of their surnames, or dressing style, headgear, or amulets.

Let us unravel the complex threads, starting today. See the world for what it is and not for what others say it is supposed to be. Look around you, all the beautiful faces, the neglected faces, the sad and scared faces. YOU can make a difference, you can change the world, you can be the light.

Change begins with YOU and ME.

This is Satrangee Parachute looking out for the beacons of hope, looking out for Homo sapiens who will change the world.
